American's Scare The Hell Out of Me:
American military strength is truly staggering. It can be witnessed in many recent examples in such a manner that it is hard to imagine any one country being able to put up much of a defense. They are quite plainly the strongest nation on earth.
A friend of mine mentioned that he had read in a poll that more than 60% of Americans believed that the earth was created approximately 6000 years ago according to the bible. Now I'm no expert on the bible, couldn't tell you weather it says this or not. I don't really think that's the point.
The point is this. It is quite clear from a great variety if scientific evidence that the earth has existed a great deal longer than this. So lets look at it from a religious standpoint. I know that the earth has been here much longer than 6000 years. Assuming that God created everything, I'll assume he created the dinosaurs or at least their bones. If he only created their bones than one must wonder why he would do this. Is this some type of cosmic trick to keep are simple minds occupied.
I think it much more likely that they did in fact exist until about 70 million years ago. It seems much more likely that if the bible is in fact truly the word of God than we have mis-translated it or have failed to decipher its true meaning.
And therein lies my fear. So much power in the hands of a country that could have that many people whose beliefs will fly so directly in the face of known reality. Please somebody educate these poor souls before they kill us all.

Count Loyd ( CTV NEWS) made it through about 5 minutes last night without one single smack. Brought tears to me eyes. Nice to see a little of those old school manners still exist. Thanks Loyd
