Hubble Telescope:

It would appear that the Americans are reconsidering their decision to not service the Hubble telescope. Apparently this is due to the overwhelming protests worldwide from scientists. The Hubble is generally considered to be the best astronomical instrument ever created and has added more knowledge of space than any other single endeavor. The original decision to scrap the Hubble service missions was taken as a result of Bush's assertion that the new focus would be on putting men on Mars. It seems crazy to me to scrap something that generates real science now in favor of something that may be achieved in twenty years. Of course that's just my opinion. I'm sure that the genius' advising Bush know what's best for all of us.
