Man Mauled By Lion:

For some unknown reason A man in Buenos Aires jumped into a den of lions. Apparently when the lions didn't bother with him he taunted them until he was mauled. Go Figure.

Fans Show Support:

Mike Jackson fans are planning a show of support for him at his trial. I don't know whether he is innocent or guilty. Other then those involved in the allegations no-one really does. While I have enjoyed his music in the past, I sure wouldn't want to have shown my support if he finally ends up being guilty of sexually assaulting children.

Sea King Training:

Sea King pilots headed for the Persian Gulf are now getting a little extra training. According to reports the pilots will now receive extra training in ditching in the ocean and landing with only one engine. Considering their record one might assume this would be the first training they receive as opposed to the last. Officials can't understand why they are losing power.
Big Tip: It's called Old Age.

U.S. Army War College:

According to one Prof. at the college the U.S. Invasion of Iraq was a strategic error. Ya Think!!! Nice to see someone showing some actual intelligence in the military community. But alas the trend is not widespread.

As reported in New Yorker Magazine ( Dec 2003 Issue) by Seymour Hirsch Under-Secretary of Defense Stephen Cambone appointed Lt. General William Boykin as his chief advisor. Boykin has given many addresses to various groups in the U.S. Of particular interest are comments he has made to various religious groups. Among them are statements to the affect that the current Muslim nations are being driven by Satan. As well Satan apparently wants to destroy the U.S. and its Christian Army. Muslim Nations hate America, according to Boykin, because America is a nation of believers. However, not to fear, as Bush was not elected but he was appointed by God. Wow.

Where do I start with this one. I was under the impression that the American army contained individuals of many faiths, apparently now you must be a Christian to apply. I was also under the impression that Americans didn't hate all Muslims only the terrorist variety, another error on my part. It would appear that American ignorance is not restricted to the common folk but has now climbed to the highest levels of government. Big Surprise. While I have always been aware of the slanted view of the world prevalent in the U.S. it is now taking on truly terrifying proportions.
