More on Diana:

Seems there is some question as to the accuracy of the blood tests done on Diana's driver Henri Paul. Apparently British investigators have suspected all along that the blood that was tested for alcohol did not belong to the driver. According to the reports the blood that was tested contained extremely high levels of carbon monoxide. So high in fact that anyone having this much in their blood wouldn't have been able to walk much less drive. According to reports this blood was never DNA tested to confirm that it had in fact come from the driver. Interesting that we are only hearing about this now. This whole episode has stunk right from the beginning, and apparently the stench is only going to go up.

Israel and Palestine:

An independent group in Europe has come up with an alternate peace plan for the troubled region. Known as the Geneva Accord its authors include many ex-politicians, and the like. The plan has been praised far and wide for its fairness.

As could be expected, the only ones not in agreement are the current politicians in the area, and of course the U.S. This lends credibility to views that the Israeli politicians don't want peace. It has been suggested that they will never truly accept peace for fears that without a common outside enemy, internal strife in Israel would effectively rip it apart.

This does not do justice to the great Jewish people. These people have withstood more hardship than virtually any people in history. They deserve peace as do the Palestinians. It is arguable that the current strife in fact has been created by Sharon.

This amounts to yet further proof that sitting politicians and businessmen are acting only in their own interests without any real regard for the best interests of their people. As usual it is the people who pay for the shortsightedness of their leaders.

People of the world absolutely must start paying much closer attention to their elected officials actions, and elect those individuals who demonstrate concern that spans a greater length of time than the next election. We blame politicians for their falsehood and complain bitterly when lied to. However the final responsibility is ours if in fact we allow them to do this. We the people must become the watchers, and must act politically to make our leaders tell the truth. While a true democracy likely doesn't exist on the planet, we may act within the existing system to make our voices heard, and to make our leaders accountable.

History will record the actions of Bush, Sharon, and Tony Blair. That they will be seen as bullies and thugs, as they are so quick to label others, seems without question. The rest of us will only be viewed as fools for letting them get away with it.
