Chavez Capitalizing on the Ignorance of Robertson
Showing his political acumen, Chavez has been using the Robertson idiocy to increase his media attention and taunt the U.S. Of course, Jesse Jackson, always quick to capitalize on any scandal of the day, has jumped in to show his support. Meanwhile Chavez is calling Bush an assassin and further rubbing salt in the wound by offering free heating oil to America's poor, a noble cause to be sure but somewhat suspect in the current state of affairs. I can't say that I like Jackson or Chavez, but I strongly respect the rights of the Venezuelan people to elect the leader of their choice without foreign interference.
