Rita Closer, New Orleans Levees Break

The dikes in New Orleans have breached again. Many are now questioning the logic of re-building in the area. Many more are questioning the logic of the government insuring against floods in such areas. Many of those evacuated from Katrina are now being evacuated again. Perhaps it's time to alter the building codes for areas such as these to make them more resistant to floods and hurricanes. Meanwhile, a man who escaped Katrina has been shot five times and is dead in Tennessee. Reminds me of that man who survived the killing fields of Cambodia only to be gunned down on the streets of L.A. a couple of years later.
